Founded in 1985 by Mr. Patrick Tam, the Golden Pig started importing high quality Canadian pork knuckle to the people of Hong Kong.
Since then, the family owned and run business has expanded its import range to include beef, lamb and pork products from the U.K and Northern Ireland, along with other award-winning U.K staples.
Since 2015, Golden Pig began working with a farm in the beautiful countryside of Essex in the U.K, to produce superior quality hormone and antibiotic free sausages, burgers and bacon under their own Golden Pig label.
As Patrick Tam envisioned, the Golden Pig family deeply understand the Farm to Table concept. Working with top, innovative farmers from the U.K and Northern Ireland ensures the animals’ healthy farm life, right through to the dry-aging or salt aging processes used, to produce a superior quality before arriving at the family table.
Farmed in the beautiful, rural countryside of Ireland and the U.K, our farmers use techniques such as the dry-aged process and salt moss aged cave techniques to mature the meat. The end result is a rich high quality flavor that has earned these ethically minded farmers’ award after award.
